Description
After completing this weeks viewing and reading, please focus this weeks writing on one of the questions below.
Remember: the idea here is to think carefully about the question(s) youve chosen, but you dont need to worry as much about producing a perfectly polished text. Your response paper should be about 1.5 pages.
Choose one of the following:
1. Whats one idea about the social sciences that you encountered in this weeks materials that you found interesting? Why is it interesting to you?
2. Thinking like a social scientist, tentatively identify one pattern you find intriguing among the questions, methods, or possible solutions in the social science materials for this week. What is it, and why is it intriguing to you?
3. What does at least one of this weeks faculty interviews say about the relevance of social science disciplines or approaches? Drawing on evidence from your own experience (evidence with which you are very familiar), why is what youve identified important for you?
Please make sure to cite readings and videos in answering these questions. When you refer to materials from the readings or videos, be sure to include a summary of the material to help us understand what you saw there.
In addition, when you connect to whats relevant, intriguing, or otherwise attention-capturing, please use evidence about experiences familiar to you (your own experiences or those of others-but something that matters to you.)
