Part 1
- Create a title page for Assignment. Developing a Research Topic for a Qualitative Study Assignment Overview and Guidelines for proper formatting of your paper.
- Write a problem statement based on your topic of study. Develop a 1- to 2-paragraph statement that is the result of a review of the articles you located on your topic.
- Briefly describe the phenomena you are interested in studying.
- Briefly summarize the key findings or what is understood about this phenomena based on the three articles you reviewed.
- Briefly identify the gapwhat do you see as an important, relevant, next step in learning more about this topic that would be appropriate for a qualitative study.
- Include your Annotated Bibliography section.
Part 2: Role of the Researcher
- Review your analytic memos, field notes, etc., written during each aspect of the data collection process, and examine your role and experience and how that is shaping your experience (reflexivity).
- Describe the roles you are portraying in this research effort (i.e., a graduate student, classmate, interviewer, etc.).
- Identify any ethical issues that could or did arise during the data collection processes (i.e., these could include doing a study within ones own work environment, conflict of interest, or power differentials).
Part 3: Potential for Social Change
- Based on your understanding of social change, write one paragraph to describe how the results of your study might contribute to making a difference at a local/community, regional, or national level.

Part 4: Trustworthiness and Summary

- What sources have different themes?
- Explain the trustworthiness of your findings, in terms of:
- Credibility
- Transferability
- Dependability strategies
- Confirmability
Summary
- Based on the results of your analyses, how would you answer the question: What is the meaning of social change for Walden graduate students?
