Good Evening Class,
My name is Nicholas Rose but I’ve always gone by Nick. I am currently working towards an Associates in Applied Health Sciences. I was born and raised in Texas specifically the DFW area. My most recent math course was a developmental math class in college and I’ve always struggled with the subject, especially in a classroom setting. I decided to take this course after taking a long break from college and since I’m currently overseas the online setup makes it very convenient to work towards while balancing work. I identified heavily with the slideshow statement about struggling in a classroom environment; I often found myself distracted or bored in that kind of setting which impacted my grades. I feel as though my attitude will heavily affect my grade in this course because the workload is all up to me to complete while trying to balance work and social life when I can. Some goals that I’m setting to ensure I am successful are to build coursework into my day the same way I do my meals and other activities, as well as to spread out the workload to avoid getting backlogged and overwhelmed. Finally, I plan to take time out of each day on the weekend to study new or confusing material so that I have a better grasp of the subject going into the next week. I am excited to not only begin the first steps toward a degree of any kind and use the credits I earn through the course to further my professional career.
– Nick Rose
