The outbreak of COVID-19 was a trying time for the world. However, it did provide an opportunity for many improvements to be made in the delivery of health care. There were many social and economic factors that contributed to the spread of this illness, particularly in communities that were not as financially secure as others may have been. Factors such as education, socioeconomic status, and employment were some of many contributors of health care outcomes of these communities. Vulnerable populations were identified and, because of continuous quality improvements (CQI), measures were put into place to get them the access to health care they so desperately needed. Telehealth services is one way that public health was improved. It provided an opportunity for those without transportation, for example, to be able to have a visit with a health care provider and get the care they needed.
